Meet Angelina, the Founder and creative mind behind Resident Fashion, a trendy fashion blog and soon-to-be e-commerce fashion store. Fashion has always been an interest of hers, and she loves empowering women and making them feel beautiful, starting with their outfits!

She also has fantastic articles on fashion that educate women on fabrics, style and even the fundamentals of a good heel! My favourite article is the one she has on How to Pick a Comfortable Heel. There’s actually science and engineering behind what makes some heels more comfortable than others!

Resident Fashion’s Brand Photography Theme

With her brand photos, we wanted to communicate a trendy, classy, influencer vibe. We also wanted an urban, architectural twist and chose urban-themed backgrounds for many of the images.

We selected locations in downtown Calgary to fit the urban and architectural background theme – Stephens Avenue and area were perfect for this!

We also used a chic white brick background for some of the shots. I left negative space at the top so that words can be added to the image for marketing purposes. The image can also be cropped to remove some of the white space when used in social media.

Angelina took care of the fashion side of things, choosing outfits with an elegant, trendy style. Confident, classy poses were chosen as well as some more candid, influencer-type poses.

From Angelina herself:

Lindsay did a fantastic job taking photos for my business. The image quality is impressive, and she delivered on all the background settings I wanted. In addition, she made a Pinterest board so we could collectively brainstorm on the types of images I should have. Throughout the entire process, Lindsay remained friendly and approachable. My experience was great, and I felt like a friend was taking my photos, so I was more confident during the photoshoot.
